DIRECTIONS
1. Go to NoodleTools and Create a New Project using 8th Newton as the project name.
2. SHARE your project with your teacher and Mrs. Woods - LodovicoCLASSNNAMENewtonProject2013. Check the Share Google Docs Paper box
You will enter your source citations in NoodleTools.
Requirements: At least 2 sources, minimum 1 print (book)
WHEN YOU DECIDE TO USE A SOURCE, ENTER CITATION.
Do not wait until after you collected the information.
WEBSITE Citation = scavenger hunt for the parts
SCIENCE REFERENCE CENTER DATABASE Citation = Go to the right of the article, click "Cite", scroll down to MLA citation, copy the MLA citation, go to Works Cited in NoodleTools, select "Cite a" Database then Use "Quick Cite" to paste the citation
BIOGRAPHY REFERENCE CENTER Citation = Click Cite this Article icon (looks like a cream paper), copy the MLA citation, go to Works Cited in NoodleTools, select "Cite a" Database then USe "Quicj Cite" to paste the citation
GROLIER ONLINE DATABASE Citation = Click the "How to cite this article" link at the top, copy the MLA Style citation, go to Works Cited in NoodleTools, select Database then Use "Quick Cite" to paste the citation
You will take your notes on the Notecards. Keep the NoodleTools window open as you work.

NOTECARDS → New Notecard (ONLY IF YOU HAVE CREATED THE CITATION FIRST!)
Source → YOU MUST LINK THE CARD TO THE CITATION/SOURCE IN YOUR WORKS CITED
Pages → If it is a book, write what page(s) the notes are from
Quotation → COPY AND PASTE FROM DIGITAL RESOURCES. Skip to paraphrase if you are using a book.
Paraphrase → Put what you copied and pasted INTO YOUR OWN WORDS, frame out the main idea.
IF YOU ARE USING A BOOK, just type in the paraphrase unless you would like to use a direct quote from the text in your paper.
Interpret/My Ideas → What have you learned? What are you thinking? Where will you go next?

3. Begin researching using NoodleTools Note cards for Quote - Paraphrase - Interpret Information
4. When research is complete, print a Works Cited page from NoodleTools, use the Print/Export button in top left and choose to Print/Export to Google Docs. Follow the prompts. NoodleTools will talk to your Google Drive and then open a Google Doc of your Works Cited. Go to File - Move to Folder and move the doc to your Science folder.
5. Begin writing the paper using Google Docs in NoodleTools. This doc will also be in your Google Drive. When you are in the doc, click on File - Move to Folder and move it to your Science folder. It should automatically be Shared with Mr. Lodovico from NoodleTools. IF YOU DID NOT CREATE THE DOC IN NOODLETOOLS, you will have to Share it with Mr. Lodovico in Google Drive.
